Audio with 5.1

Hi not sure if the problem is with my equipment or mrmc but when passthrough is on and I play a video with 5.1 all i get is awhole lot of static and muck but turn passthrough off an the sound is normal, audio on apple tv is set to auto, reduce noise is turned off. I have a nuc with kodi on it with passthrough on an the sourround sound does fine at its job

The video side of things plays nicely just tried a 32Gb movie which is upscaled 4k and plays very well

congrats :) you are the very 1st to report this. Also try setting atv4 to 16-bit audio

All my shows have 2 audio tracks, a stereo and 5.1 track, is there a way to have the 5.1 track selected by default? Right now it always plays the stereo track and I have to select the 5.1 through the audio settings when the show is playing, thanks.

What do i win ha, tried changing to 16 bit in apple settings but no change, it doesnt like passthrough

I just installed Mr. MC and passthrough is not working with DTS for me. DD 5.1 works fine but DTS plays as stereo to my receiver when passthrough is enabled. I tried setting the audio to 16bit and auto on the Apple TV.

For what it's worth DTS passes through no problem for me using Infuse on the same set up.

Did you explicitly enable dts, it does not auto enabled when passthough is enabled. Not all amps can do dts but all can do DD.

I made sure to select the DTS audio tracks but they only play as stereo. My receiver supports DTS no problem.

Is there some other DTS setting within MrMC?

http://kodi.wiki/view/Audio_settings see scroll on right. Enable DTS passthough is hiding and you need to scroll down to expose it.

Thanks, that did it! I didn't notice that it was set to "simple" and not advanced settings by default. Simple hides the DTS option.

I have the same issue. When audio pass-through is enabled I only get static. My AV receiver is Denon x1200w.

The same issue is happening with infuse 4 app.
