nav'ing around in plex areas, which one ? If I can narrow it down, I might be able to find it. Basically a free call got passed a bad pointer which points to possible init'ed var.

It going from the Plex areas (pretty sure TV Shows) then I was backing back to the main screen to switch to Movies.

I'll make sure to write it down next time exactly what I was doing.

1) playback of a pawn stars episode starts and then in a couple seconds freezes, every time.

2) a 96khz truehd track, from oblivion, doesn't play. I know on the other devices that's expected but I think the shield should support that. it tries to passthrough but then skips in and out a few times then is gone.

3) I can't access my SMB network on shield or on the firetv. on the apple tv it works just fine. I get a connection timed out error.

all three of these events is in the log linked above.

yeah, if attempting to add video sources (videos->files) I click the browse button. SMB shows as a possibility. But, when I select "workgroup" I get a connection timed out error. I double checked, settings on apple tv are the same. the ATV4 works, but the shield (nor fire tv) doesn't.

you asking for samples of the 96khz truehd track and pawn stars? You already have the pawn stars file from dropbox if I recall correctly.

I'll have to look into making an oblivion test file for the 96khz truehd track.

shield , firetv2 and AppleTV4 are all wired.

edit: switched shield to wifi (802.11AC) and both still worked

So far all looks good. Have been playing some movies DD5.1, DTS and DTS-HD and no hiccups and audio using passthrough all in sync.

I do have some issues playing two test files :

something on my end then I guess. I know in the past I changed some NTLM settings to try to guard against security problems that were made widely known in the last year. When I made those changes my windows machines couldn't file share with eachother so I changed them back. (I then fixed the security risk at my router/gateway) Perhaps something is still changed such that the android devices don't like it.

Edit: Browsing SMB doesn't work but manually adding the server, username, password, works.

Edit2: browsing NFS works just fine.

hd_dts_hd_master_audio_sound_check_5_1_lossless.m2ts is one of my test files. Which fw on Shield are you running. 5.0.2 ?
