TV Guide Settings

Post by intrepid »

Hi,

I've just started using MrMC on the AppleTV and was wondering if it would be possible for you to add a new setting to the Ariana skin.

This would be an option to enable "Channel Names" in the TV Guide list. Currently you only show the channel icons, and this means that the user has no idea which channel is which if a channel icon is missing.

I'm currently running the Amber skin to work around this issue, as Amber shows both channel names and icons, but I'd prefer to be using the Ariana skin.

Thanks.

Channel names should be there in list view, are you using icons view?

Hi,

Sorry for taking a while to get back. While you're right that the list view in "all channels" (I'm not sure if that's the name of the view, but "all channels" was mentioned at the top of the view, so I'll call it that) shows both the channel names and the icons, this does not appear to be true for the TV Guide.

If there are already options for the TV Guide (such as list/icon view), I'm not sure how to get to them. Pushing left simply goes backwards on the tv guide timeline and doesn't show an options menu as it does in the "all channels" view.

Attached are some photos of how the channel list appears in the TV Guide of each theme. The missing icons are because I do not have all of the picons for the channels, and they're kind of a pain to get going.

Thanks.
