TV Show is not coming back [SOLVED]

Hello,

I have mrmc running on two apple Tvs 4 without a problem.
But I accendately pressed the wrong button, when i switched through the drop down menu of a TV show and I deleted it.
It is still on my NAS, but if I choose "scan library" or "delete source" and choose it again, the show is still not showing up.
Any ideas how to get it back in the TV Show folder?

Go to your media sources, find the source tv show is in, highlight tvshow folder, long hold select to bring context menu and choose scan for changes(or something like that)

I selected „media sources“ on Home Screen and select the folder the tv show is in. Then I press until the Dropdown-Menü menu appears and select „search for new files” (I have the german version which says “neue Inhalte suchen”)
But that won’t help.

As a workaround you could rename the tv-show folder and add the starting year as : Tvshowname (year). Scan Will pick it up as new.

So
Castle -> castle (2009)

But it’s a workaround.

Thank you very much. I just tried this and it’s not working. After I scanned for new videos, I see it scanning the new Tv folder,that I named with the year in brackets, for 2 minutes until it reaches 100%, but it still won’t show up.

That’s odd. I am using nfs shares and renaming the “not scannable” folder usually does the trick.

- what show are you trying to add ?
- Is the info present on the Tvdb ?
- Do you have custom tv-show and episode nfo files inside the folder ?

Can you go to the folder through media sources:
- please check : change content, is it a tv-show, is the Tvdb / tmdb selected ?
- check of : folder contains a single tv-show
- and then scan the folder for new content

Are you sure scraping works at all? Did you try to scrape for new contents from both ATVs?

I would try to scrape one specific movie (the particular movie does not have to be on your NAS folder just a file .mkv according to the naming conventions) AND to provide the name of the TV series here - so someone else here can try to scrape for it.

I am also using nfs share and besides this, I have no problems at all.
The show is called Derrick and it is on TVDB. I have two Apple TVs 4 and the show is listed properly on the other Apple TV in Mrmc. I used to have this show listed on both Apple TV’s. But one day I pushed the wrong button (I can can not recall which, but I guess it was „delete this entry“) and it was gone.

I have no nfo files in the folder.
I did everything you mentioned, but it did not work.

Are you sure scraping works at all? Did you try to scrape for new contents from both ATVs?

Yes I did and yesterday I added new movies and they appeared in the movie folder without any issues.

BUT today I looked through the “Derrick” folder and I saw some wrong file names. Like a missing letter or there were two points next to each other. I corrected this on my nas (in total 6 files) just because I saw it and wanted to clean things out. Then I rescanned my library in Mrmc and suddenly those 6 episodes appear! Now I will try this with the next 270 episodes
