Re: 4k stuttering (2160p HEVC)
hard to follow that log, you didnt have debug logging enabled to capture why audio sync errors happened.
try again with clean MrMC restart , enabled debug logging and play one file until it starts to stutter, then upload one log please.
Code: Select all
01:43:43.965 T:6136180736 WARNING: ActiveAE - large audio sync error: -1002.333147-

"wired connection", as in a Gb/s link ? And you have all gigabit back server ?
Smells like bad network speeds. You are playing from a bluray rip, bandwidth requirements are very high. A 10/100 just will not work. Either 802.11ac or gigabit wired with known good cables.
We get this all the time, user pops in with stuttering issue. Claims up and down network is fine only to discover that they had a bad cable...

Sorry for interruption, but where can you adjust the buffer?

Re: 4k stuttering (2160p HEVC)
The wired connection doesn't appear to be gigabit. Will report back after cable is upgraded.
It seems 802.11ac has the same stuttering (see 8FT0L.log) but I want to go with wired anyway.
The wireless setup is NAS -> gigabit ethernet -> wireless router -> 802.11ac -> 4k apple tv.

Settings, system, internet access, scroll down to buffer size (MB)

Re: 4k stuttering (2160p HEVC)
Confirmed that this was the issue. Wiring the cable correctly (now gigabit) fixed the stuttering. Still not sure why it was still stuttering with 802.11ac, but that isn't something that makes any difference to me.davilla wrote: 23 Jun 2020, 12:05 "wired connection", as in a Gb/s link ?
