I believe "next track" and "previous track" already do work as expected. "Skip forward" and "skip backward" is different and refers to different buttons on the remote. "Skipping" on TvOS allows you to jump forward or backwards by 10 seconds (on other devices, skip forward is typically 30 seconds). The proposed code responds to these "skip" buttons (commands) and does not affect the "track" buttons (commands) which I believe you're referring to.amet wrote:here is the code we are using, its more universal and applies to chapters as well as skips to a next song, we have to have "next/prev" somehow.

Yes talking about fast forward and rewind. Holding it or long press for that matter doesn't seem to work for me.amet wrote:sure, lets see it.. thanks!
EDIT: @LastStarfighter just to be clear, we are talking about fast forward and rewind, not skip forward/back? fast forward and rewind works fine here, but its mapped in such way that you have to hold it, while you hold it does rw or ff .. when you let go it continues playing.

Re: Harmony Touch RW and FF
Hi
@amet an update form my end.
I re-did the mapping for my harmony remote using the MyHramony software. Success, in that the long press now does FF or RW.
I noticed it only FF's or RWs at 4x speed.
Will there be an opportunity at some stage to have an option to change the speed default of the long remote press to something else like 16x?
Also is anything being worked on for the future to make short pressing the FF or RW buttons work?
Cheers

Re: Harmony Touch RW and FF
I will think whats the best way to handle it to get more speed settings . at the moment, holding FF/RW is hardcoded to 4X speed... we can add setting to handle different speeds if thats desired but it would be hardcoded in settings and not dynamic.... maybe holding it for 2(3 or 4) seconds would increase by 2X until it hits 32X? but there is no way to slow it down unless you release the buttons ... I hope you get what I mean
based on how apple is letting us handle remote inputs(which is very limited) it is almost impossible to map short presses to anything else without loosing the FF/RW... what would you like to see those buttons do? you have chapter skip(or time skip) using Next/Prev buttons.
