In my movie library I have set it to sort by "Duration/Ascending".
That works fine until I either exit the library or after watching a movie. Then the library is back to what seems like random order. Sort by duration is still selected though. I presse twice on "Ascending"/"Descending" to return to normal. But that is pretty annoying to do constantly.
I am on Apple TV 4K, and I am not sure if the support question should have been there. I used to have an nVidia Shield and I don't recall the problem from that platform (where I used both Kodi and later mrmc).
In case it is relevant my library is on a Synology NAS which is accessed through NFS.

Movie library sort in random order

that should not be happening, maybe there is some info in a log. lets see the debuglog please

What I did:
After enabling logging I went back to movie library.
Sort order seemed random, sort by Duration was enabled.
I clicked twice on ascending/descending to get right order.
I went back and uploaded log.
