I'm playing with the atom structure of the mp4 files and I'm manipulating raw data with the help of a hex editor (like FlexHEX).
mp4muxer (from Dolby), DVDFab (latest trial version) and FFmpeg (latest version) close the circle.
These are experiments, there are no precise steps to follow.
Have you tried the files previously attached?

yusesope, well done sir - you are my freakin' hero! how difficult would it be to streamline the process (perhaps a script that runs all those programs) of making one of your special mp4's from a disc? a full movie rip with lossless video and audio is soo close!

Just remember me when someone will copy my efforts and you will have to pay for all of this (...maybe, after three free trials...who knows).
It's easy (especially for the "Single Layer" one).
I saw your previous script.
You have the skills to prepare something.
You will do it for all of us (because, after the explenations, I'm out!).
If the Dual Layer file works, you'll have to edit some files at binary level ( Powershell is the way for that or you'll learn some basic stuff in Python)
But first I need to do more tests.
In Primis, did the Dual Layer file cause problems?
is it fine as it is?
(it is important because, in this case, there would be no need to buy any software)
In Secundis, the ALAC codec (instead of TrueHD/ATMOS) could be a problem.

I cannot reply because "I'm not authorized to use this feature". Don't worry about the "hex stuff". Binary manipulation was useful for understanding how to concatenate the output of one program with the input of another. After that, I simplified the process: right now, a single sequence of bytes must be modified "on the fly".
The downside is that the whole process takes a long time: a file can be manipulated even up to three times (a SSD is usefull in this situation).
At the beginning, I suggest you experiment using 60 seconds cuts.
Before explaining everything, we wait for davilla to confirm the correct functioning of the "Dual Layer" file and PCM audio.
It would be useless to pass you incorrect information. It would only create confusion.

Test_DV_LPCM.mp4 plays but audio is just 8 channels of static noise.
Test_DL_DV_DTS_HD_MA.mp4 plays, can't say anything about the 2nd video stream as MrMC only handles one right now.

All play, but no sound (but I guess it's TV, because it play only EAC3 with DV).
