No srt subtitle display from Emby server 3.6-4.x

Post by Montoya »

Since Emby changed the subtitle string to a 2 letter country code in srt filename (started in beta branch 3.6 and also used in 4.x branch), MrMC doesn't display the srt subtitles when playing a movie.

So when a movie with srt subs is registered in Emby library, filenames are:
- moviename.mkv
- moviename.nl.srt (nl=for dutch subtitle)

MrMC "sees" the nl subtitle, when during movie play, subtitle menu is pulled down, but when selecting the dutch subtitle it will not display it.

Is this an API issue in MrMC ?

No rush Amet :-)

Best way to test this is to let Emby download some srt subtitles for a movie with Open subtitles Emby plugin in different languages , so these gets registered by Emby for that movie.

When you manually add them yourself on file level, you have to scan that library in Emby after you have added them, for Emby to pick up and register that added subtitles for that movie.
