Testing Ariana and Plex extension, in Plex on occasion the Continue Watching video screen shot becomes the entire Plex background. I’m talking about the same screenshot the briefly appears when you hit play.

I can't help with Plex extension but I was wondering why are you preferring plex extension to native client: MediaSources/Sign-in Plex? We make quite a few changes in this regard in 3.7 and I find it much quicker than plex extension. What is missing for you?

I got tv-mosaic server running and I think the problems I'm seeing with live tv timeshift with dvblink not working after watching for some time are gone with tv-mosaic. So, that's good.

@koying, when do you expect to have another build available for Shield? The latest one I have is from 7 days ago and I'd like to test some of the updates, including the UHD bluray folder ability.

Testing the updated bluray folder capability on tvOS (Ariana) I see that the scrubbing interface isn't enabled. Is it not available for that type of playback?

As it is clicking the touchpad brings up the settings OSD but not the playback OSD. This is pretty much the way PVR recordings were before the last update.

I like both of them for different reasons. I agree Ariana is much quicker. To be honest I'd be exclusive to the first one to offer Rotten Tomatoes critics review snipettes and TV theme songs, both like the Plex app offer. Other minor things that the Plex Extention offer:

-Extras. If you're a plex subscriber the Plex Ext shows Extras. If Ariana does I haven't found them.
-Plex Ext uses audio codec names that I understand better (DTS, DD 5.1, etc).
-The Plex Ext color scheme seems richer, darker and classier. I think it selects the most prevelant color and makes it the background on the main page and the detail pages?
-I'd like quicker switching of servers. I have my local server and a friend's PMS. At one time I think Ariana would show them both, making for faster switching. Plex Ext isn't much better though. You might consider adding an option for merging content of PMS servers (like Infuse). After trying that awhile I think I like it.

Sorry I took your question as an opportunity to make a bunch of suggestions. Hope that helps though.

Correct, at the present time, the way scrubbing works is not compatible to bluray structures. Same for DVD content.

Oof, where to begin...

The Kodi skin interfaces are (sorry, I know you develop one of them, which I will say is the best looking of all of them) ugly compared to the Plex UI, and I've also become accustomed to it over the years. You can't shuffle playlists (or anything, I think?), which is something I do a lot. There is no playlist OSD (which doesn't really matter to me since you can't shuffle playlists anyway). AFAIK Ariana is the only skin that has an On Deck/In Progress/Home Screen, which is an indispensable feature, so that means I can't really use any other skin. There is no preplay screen with extras, info, RT ratings, cast, trailer, etc. in Ariana. It is much slower to load the home screen on Ariana than in Plex (17 seconds vs. 3 seconds - my Plex server is remote, probably why). The section tabs actually show information about the show/movie underneath instead of just the posters or a list. I can't see percentage watch status at a glance, instead I just see a half-full icon on Ariana. I have SIGNIFICANTLY more sorting and filtering options in Plex. Recent playlists show up on the home screen. I have an on deck/continue watching for each section. Plex has universal search, Ariana does not.

I'm sure I could come up with a few more if you need me to.

Also the develop tree of Plex for Kodi has a bunch of fixes (particularly for the OSD, since it gets stuck showing a lot). https://github.com/plexinc/plex-for-kodi/tree/develop

I know it's not the "stable" tree but I promise it's less buggy than 0.1.6, at least currently. If not, I totally understand.
