Hi,

I just downloaded MrMc on an Apple TV 4K 32gb and have loaded my tv show files easily. However, when I try to add my digital movie collection they add as a source and I see the files but they do not load to the movies tab. The naming convention I used for my movies is movie name (year).mkv All of my movies are in mkv format.

I used universal movie scraper as my information provider because I find it better when I used kodi on my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

do you have the movies in the individual folders? and is the setting for the source reflecting that?

"movies are in separate folders that match the movie title"

Hi,

All of my movies are in the same folder. One giant movie folder with the movies setup with file names and year for the movie.

I was playing around with it last night and if I Long press on a movie and hit movie information it will search for the movie and then add it to the movie tab instead of being in files.

I can double check the settings when I get home but I am pretty sure I didn’t have it set for movies are in separate folders.

Hi Everyone,

So I downloaded the app on another apple tv for testing. I add my TV show folders and at first it doesn't add them to the TV show tab but when I then long pause on the source and hit scan for new content it will then add the TV shows.

I tried the same technique with the movie folder but no such luck. I am using the universal scraper instead of the movie database because on Kodi I have always found it to have better results. I deleted the source and tried again with the movie database and the same results. No movies added to the movies tab.

The setup I have is SMB for the files since they are on a windows device. In Services - Settings for SMB I have my workgroup name in there, checked the radio for use libdsm for smb servers, radio checked for force smb v1, smb stat is checked and smb timeout is 10 (default).

In Video - Library I have import all videos checked as well as update library on startup. Here are some excerpts from the log for the movies folder:

Something is not right with your source setup, what’s your server?

And please do not post debuglog in the forum, use pastebin as stated in the wiki instructions

Hi,

My “server” is a Windows 10 PC that just sits in a closet for file storage. Everything is on mirrored drives the whole drive is just movies. For my kodi setup everything worked as expected when adding the drives. Sorry about the log dump.

Yes, if I go into the files section and click on the movies source all of my videos show there. If I Long click on a movie and choose movie information, it will pull up the data and then add it to the movies section. However, if I clean the library from the systems section it will then remove the movies.

I honestly can’t see where the issue is, I have tried setting it up here and it works just fine.

What happens if you choose different metadata provider? Try it just as a test to eliminate universal scraper issues.
