I've got tvheadend installed on my Synology DS214 via synocommunity; tvheadend version is v3.4.27-6
I can access it via a browser at nas_ip:9981, but when MrMc tries to connect, it just keeps coming up with a 'lost connection' error. The authentication details are correct
I can't seem to find any logs for the error - does anyone have any clues ?
DVBLink works without a hitch, but it's rather expensive...
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Re: Tvheadend 'lost connection'
For anyone else who runs into the same issue:
It was a version mismatch problem. The version of tvheadend in the synocommunity packages is too old.
Kodi/MrMc appears to require 4+, which is downloadable as a spk via a link from the tvheadend site...
All working well for me now
