-Scrolling through the List View doesn't seem improved. I can only scroll up/down one item at a time. I would like that if I swipe down and keep my finger on the touchpad, I would keep scrolling down until I lift my finger.
-When playing a video: tapping on the outer side left or right skips 10s/30s/1m/3m/5m/10m, tapping on the outer side top or bottom skips a chapter. So that is an improvement.

My music collection now scans correctly... It would only scan the first folder in 1.0.1

I can confirm that it works like this, but it just feels.... weird. I can pretty much say I will 100% never use this since I'll just stick with going to the slider and going a page at a time. Much easier.davilla wrote:finger down, hold, then while holding swipe up/dn. keep finger down and it scrolls.

Hmmm... contrary, doesn't work me for me. Get the impression like the previous poster, only scrolling bu one item at a time is still there. When I press up orndown like uou mentioned nothing happens.davilla wrote:finger down, hold, then while holding swipe up/dn. keep finger down and it scrolls.
Oh, did you change anything in SMB ? Getting less errors.

Nothing changed regarding smb shares except this build was done using Xcode7.2 and 9.1 SDK rather than Xcode7.1.1 and 9.0 SDK. tvOS min is still 9.0 of course.

Re: tvOS Testing 1.0.2 (151212.1650)
Okay, this works. But it feels not intuitive to start with finger down + hold and then swipe. As I mentioned in my post, I would expect to start with the swipe and end with finger down + hold.davilla wrote:finger down, hold, then while holding swipe up/dn. keep finger down and it scrolls.
In xOS you can swipe 'soft'/'tender' (don't know the word, but hopefully you understand) to scroll 1 or 2 items at a time, or swipe rather 'strong'/'fiercely' to scroll 10 or 15 items at a time. This 'normal' behaviour would also be a welcome addition.

Is there any chance of momentum scrolling in future updates?davilla wrote:finger down, hold, then while holding swipe up/dn. keep finger down and it scrolls.

Music library seems to be scanning fine here as well

By "finger down" do you mean press the button, hold it down and then swipe up and down while you're still holding down the button? That does seem a little awkwarddavilla wrote:finger down, hold, then while holding swipe up/dn. keep finger down and it scrolls.

Re: tvOS Testing 1.0.2 (151212.1650)
Agreeing with previous posters, music scan now scans all folders, although something is seriously weird with the scraper:
I get many duplicated artists with the albums split between them (in album view it shows as two albums with the same title/artist with some of the songs in one and the rest in another and in artist view it shows as two artists with the same name with the same album in each one etc.)
It does the same in Kodi so it's really not something MrMC-related, but it's annoying.
I've updated the metadata in the files to make sure they only differ in title and track number but still the same result.
Next, the remote, the only difference I've noted is that it's no longer possible to leave the finger down after a swipe to start continuous scrolling. Or perhaps invoked in a new way?
Having read the about the intended gesture, I'll test that tonight after work.
I think it's important to try to mimic the native behavior of the remote to ensure a coherent UX on the ATV.
One develops a sort of muscle memory for every new device and when familiar gestures or actions generate unexpected behavior it's very confusing.
(I know that you already know this, but i wanted to press the importance of this, for me at least)
TL;DR +1 on momentum scrolling.
Tonight I will also test for hidden file exclusion, I think it's best to create a test database so I don't destroy my regular one...
Also, I'll have to rename a bunch of files to create them first because I've been using an AppleScript to get rid of all the horrible files as a temporary solution.
Thanks for all your hard work!
