I know this isn't a lot of details, but wanted to put it out there... @sniper over at the NVIDIA Shield forums said they finally found and fixed the audio passthrough issue I've always had with my SHIELDS. Here's the thread where they say they've reached out to the Kodi devs, but would be nice if someone from MrMC reached out to them to see what they did to fix it:

1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.

Looks like they found a fix but then in wider testing it broke the audio in some receivers. Disappointing. Really annoying having these drop outs during films. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.
