Resume points are not syncing back to Emby

I am able to see the current resume points from emby server into Mrmc and if I continue playing video that was in continue watching section for few minutes and stopped playing then the watched status is not synced to the Emby server. I get the resume point that is there before Mrmc from any other Emby clients.

I am the resume points from Emby and the resume points from Mrmc emby service are not syncing back to Emby

In MrMC on tvOS, resume points are always shared with Emby server.

So I presume it is a refresh issue on your Emby clients. Try to back out in your Emby client of the movie detail screen (and/or library) and go back in and resume your movie in your Emby Client you just played in MrMC.

When you are already in the movie detail page in your Emby Client while watching the same movie in MrMC, I can understand why the resume point is not updated, because that movie detail page in your Emby Client probably has no Live refresh.

Hi thanks for your response. I am not checking in real time. There is few hours difference between watching on Emby client and then continue watching on Mrmc on Tvos


I watched a movie around the halfway mark and few hours later resumed the movie in Mrmc on tvos, finished the movie. The next day I still have the movie on continue watching list on all Emby clients and also on Mrmc with the resume point near halfway where I watched in Emby client. I also checked in Emby server web dashboard.

The continue watched list and any new media I added to the Emby server are all synced to the Mrmc client but not the resume points from Mrmc to Emby server.

Any help on this is appreciated.

Then I suspect you are on Emby Server stable release channel. Emby Server beta release channel doesn't show the behavior you describe. What Emby Server revision do you run ?

Than I would advise you to let this issue rest for now, because Emby stable release 4.x is expected to be ready this coming week.

Emby 4.x is a MAJOR release with a lot of good changes, so after your Emby server has received this update we can look into your issue if it still exists.

I reinstalled the app and resume points seem to work. I will test a little more and report back.
