Re: 5.1 vs 7.1 audio settings for 5.2.2 speakers and Denon receiver

The only atmos that gets passed unaltered is eac3/atmos.

truehd/atmos will get decoded to multichannel pcm. Since most truehd/atmos is 7.1, I'd stick with MrMC and 7.1 channels. Let the denon figure out how to map it.

Re: Missing thumbnails

Does anyone else have the problem with missing artwork and thumbnails in MRMC for Appletv when using an Emby server? I don't have this problem with any of the other clients I use with the same Emby server: Kodi or windows, Emby for Appletv, Emby for Android, it seems the problem is only with MRMC. ...

Honestly they're both just forks of Kodi with minor modifications.
Not really, a decade ago, plex (desktop) client was a fork of xbmx/kodi. Now they have no relation to the original roots.

Re: sound settings for Samsung ms650 soundbar

Ok. ok. I got it. but another thing. If you go to settings> audio output there is an option called "threshold for pitch Correction". What does it mean? That I have to put them there? "threshold for pitch Correction" has nothing to do with a/v sync. Leave it alone. threshold for pitch correction how...

Anyone else have any ideas? As it stands i can't use it, and i assume you can't upgrade from the lite version to the full version from within the app
Check for other differences, versions of shield os, etc.

Re: ATV and DTS Audio

Hi, According to the description, there is a DTS support for ATV4: supports ACC, FLAC, DD, DTS and other audio formats. But all my DTS movies are played in Dolby Digital. In Kodi there is a switch for it. Receiver supports DTS. Does that not work with MrMC? I use TVOS 12.1 and MrMC 3.8.1 Greetings....

Re: White Clipping

Unfortunately on the Shield (and all android based platforms), media that uses MediaCodec (Surface) does not have the ability to adjust brightness and contrast. If you use MediaCodec (non-surface), then brightness and contrast can be adjusted. On AppleTV4/4K, the similar thing happens when AVFoundat...

Re: Constantly buffering files, play fine in VLC

Extremely low tech, sorry: Apple Time Capsule with an external portable drive sharing over SMB, ethernet to Apple TV direct to Time Capsule. But I have far higher bitrate files that play just fine. My assumption is either adding the mono track and/or chapters with Subler did something unexpected or...
