Stop refresh/res changes except to match media

I have my Shield connected to an AVR and then to a TV. That means if the Shield changes resolution/refresh rate the AVR then takes a few seconds to change, and following that the TV takes a few seconds. These delays could be almost eliminated if MrMC was set to maintain the last resolution used unti...

Re: 4K/HDR issues

Ah I see. I think I'll somehow wrangle a way to attach this to the remote so I can turn it on and off. I've watched the numbers in more detail and sometimes the video queue drops down to 90, and I think the first digit has rolled to an 8 once or twice but from what you've said that's perfectly fine.

Re: 4K/HDR issues

So I reterminated the cable showing as crosstalk - before I did it I noticed that the 100 but not 1000 light was on the switch. I reterminated it twice to no avail. Then remembering that sky TV was put in last week and the guy was behind the TV I pushed on the ethernet cable into the wall port and w...

Re: 4K/HDR issues

Ok. There have been a couple of changes to the network. I've reterminated a couple of cables up in the loft, and I've replaced the unmanaged switches with managed switches.

That got me thinking and it looks like I need to go reterminate a cable.

4K/HDR issues

As suggested https://mrmc.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4104&start=1150#p20065 I'm posting a log because I've found MrMC is stuttering/freezing on 4K/HDR content. The file is a remux so there's lots of data there. I'm using an nVidia shield, it's being output to a Sony STR-DN1080 and from there to a...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.7.0 - [Invites Closed]

I'm on the previous version and although HDR was working for me it's now stopped and MrMC is laggy for a second then stops playing. Is there progress on these areas that might benefit me when 3.7.0 comes out? In other words since it seems close should I just hang on and wait, or should I go look for...

Re: Avoid rescanning/remember progress? [SOLVED]

Ah.. not quite as elegant as I was hoping. However now I've found out what Trakt is, it sounds like something I want to get anyway.

Thanks!

Avoid rescanning/remember progress? [SOLVED]

I've made changes to the media server I use and although all the files are identical, and in the same directory structure etc they are no longer mounted on the shield so I'll need to add them to MrMC as a new source. Is there any way to do this and avoid having to rescan/readd all the files and lose...

Minimising resolution switches

I have MrMC on a Shield connected to a Sony 1080 AVR, connected to an LG TV. When it's playing it's great, the quality etc is wonderful and I've got MrMC working great on 4K/HDR/Atmos content. However starting and stopping is a bit of a pain and it will be several seconds of black screen before it's...

HDR works

I've had a number of problems with Kodi that were mostly fixed by going to SPMC but not entirely - including HDR not working in SPMC. I suspect many have been caused by trying loads of things to troubleshoot. I noticed that the guy who makes SPMC has now moved here but that there hasn't been a relea...
