Re: TV de-interlacing option (ATV4 4K)?

You mean 2x yadif on 1080i h264 streams? :D Yes, the Apple TV 4K has the ponies to handle it. :o :P Is it really true when also upsizing to 4K? I was just testing a 1080i music video clip which didn't look at all smooth with YADIFx2 enabled, I had to choose the other YADIF setting to make i...

Re: native 24p video files problem.

I tried contacting them via problem reporting earlier, but maybe I'll also try to give feedback. It won't hurt the case at least. Funny thing is that based on the answer I got from them in the problem ticket, they didn't seem to understand the difference between native 24p and the much more common 2...

Re: native 24p video files problem.

Is changing playback speed to 23.976 fps (while resampling audio to match) inside MrMC out of the question? Apple just basically told me that they are not going to implement support.

Re: Issues with TS files (scrubbing, skipping, jumping to a position)

I posted a debug log (https://pastebin.com/43JDuNRm) in this thread: https://mrmc.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4001 I've noticed that playing an M2TS file often has this strange issue of the buffering meter going 0-100 all the time after seeking or skipping. The same sources remuxed to MKV work much...

TheAudioDB information not scraped

Is there something wrong with the API or why is scraping not possible? The website itself seems fine. 20:22:52 T:6129528832 WARNING: Get: Can't find precise charset for HTML "http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/1134167510258925390035/artist-mb.php?i=", using "UTF-8" as fallback 20:22:52 T:61295288...

Slightly darker gray for subtitle color

The direct LED TV I have causes subtitles on dark background bloom quite a bit if they are white. This is quite noticeable if I'm watching videos when the room is dark. Setting the subtitle color to gray makes things a bit better, but I'd like to have one setting with a darker gray subtitle color. T...

Re: Passthrough issue

The strange thing is that with #3 and #4, the AVR shows PCM 2.0 as the input signal when the audio is for example Opus 5.1 in the file. If the audio is DTS-HD MA 5.1, the AVR shows Dolby Digital 3/2 with #4. I have not done any channel tests yet. The TV is a Sony XE9005.

Re: Passthrough issue

Because my AVR doesn't support 4K, I have to connect the ATV4K to my TV using HDMI. I then connect the TV to the AVR using the optical output to get audio. The audio I have in my library varies between mono Opus and 7.1 DTS-HD MA so it can be basically anything. I have a 5.1-channel setup in the TV ...

Support for Opus in music?

I have several albums encoded with the Opus audio codec and correctly tagged with MusicBrainz Picard that I'd like to include in my library. After scanning, they don't appear in the albums list and also the artists who have only such albums/songs, are not there. Is the support for Opus missing?

Re: Issue with jump seek

I've now returned to this issue. I tried watching a BD M2TS file over the NFS share I have set up. The playback started fine, then I paused the video, swiped to fast forward around 10 minutes and pressed to resume. What happened was that the video froze with the paused frame looking a bit blocky on ...
