Re: 3.7.1 gone from bad to worse

I'm seeing the same issue on the FireTV Stick 4K, video and audio are out of sync. I installed Kodi 18 and it seems to work well, so it is possible. Plex client also works, so not sure it's the new stick. I initially bought MrMC (a few times on different accounts) to solve problems I used to have w...

BUG: built-in Plex requires remote access to be enabled

I have a Plex media server running on the LAN and I do not want remote access to be enabled to it. But unless remote access is enabled, MrMC cannot use it. It cannot discover it even though I enabled GDM. I enabled remote access and it worked. I figured that once discovered I could turn remote acces...

Re: "Server - MrMc" -- what is this option?

I generally use Plex since the updates are a lot faster. NFS isn't a bad option, but you have to wait for it to scrub in new files every time the app is opened or you have it update the library. In 'Settings -> Services -> Plex Client' does that show you logged in to Plex? Yes, it does, I did the l...

Re: "Server - MrMc" -- what is this option?

No ideas why the Plex server does not show up on the list?

Or, let me ask a different way: what is the best (proper?) setup when all the media files sit on a Linux server (local LAN) that shares via NFS and also there's a Plex server running on the same server?

Re: Secondary DNS set to 8.8.8.8 -- where is this coming from?

Where is MrMC pulling the info from, so I know where to look? FireTV Network Settings is only showing 1 DNS server.

Edit: from ADB shell:

$ getprop net.dns2
8.8.8.8

Hmm ... thank you Google/Android for deciding what's best for me!

Re: "Server - MrMc" -- what is this option?

Hmm, I had no idea there were two ... I disabled the extension and I'm signed in to the Plex Client. Still not seeing a Plex server in the list :( My Plex server is only accessible on the LAN, is that supposed to work? This is all very confusing :(

"Server - MrMc" -- what is this option?

Haven't looked at the MrMC software updates in a while. I now see an icon at the bottom that says "Server - MrMC" and when I click on it I get a list with a single choice MrMC. What other servers could show up in there? I do have Plex client configured and logged in, but not sure if it's considered ...

Secondary DNS set to 8.8.8.8 -- where is this coming from?

Looking in MrMC at System Info/Network it shows primary DNS to be my router (which is correct and should be the only DNS server) but secondary DNS as 8.8.8.8 Who sets this secondary DNS? It's not my router serving it with the DHCP replies and the FireTV network settings only show a single DNS server...
