PVR IPTV Simple Client load on start small list for few mintues

I just updated to 3.9.9 of MrMC (using external database which was upgraded with some MrMC relase) on my AppleTV 4k with TVOS 13.4.5 and have issue with the addon in Subject. On first start, and every other start from background, is the PVR addon updating the list, and the "TV" Menu is not visible for few minutes, and once visible, enterting there will freeze the MrMC for few minutes until all that scan are done. This is realy anonying and can't remmeber it was like that with 3.9.7.

Below is debug log (created with 3.8.1 way as I needed to erase the links to streams and USER&PASS).

No changes have been made to any of the code between 3.9.7 and 3.9.9, some minor fixes for emby and other stuff but nothing that touches addons or rendering.

I see in your signature that you have a 3.9.7 running elsewhere, no issue there?

Somehow I don't see there that much this updating channel groups stuff.

Also now the MrMC was open, after 5 (or 10) min of inactivity (TVOS) the screensaver was on, after returning back and pressing any button on remote, screensaver was off and MrMC was still there, going to "TV" triggered again update of the channel groups..

I hope you can see any issue in that debug log. I also tried to delete the groups from Database (option under Settings > TV) but seems does not help, as there seems more groups stored in Database then in the list..

Did some test, here are times for same settings/list:

One more issue I found with iptv is that after TVOS screensaver kick in, then turning it off where MrMC is in focus, there will be IPTV updating channel groups triggered. I am not sure for others but here the IPTV urls don't change.

One more issue I found with iptv is that after TVOS screensaver kick in, then turning it off where MrMC is in focus, there will be IPTV updating channel groups triggered. I am not sure for others but here the IPTV urls don't change.

I dont see that being an issue, but you can test it by not allowing MrMC to run background tasks in apple TV settings.

I can try that. Did you have time to check the logs and did you found anything wrong there?

I dont see any errors, I do see that you dont have EPG url setup though and that there is no EPG to be loaded. even then it takes few hundred milliseconds to go over it.

I have no idea why this issue is happening, I have the same PVR setup here and loading is relatively quick, 1-2 seconds and it takes 5-6 seconds to load the EPG.

I also have same setup on atv 4th and atv 4k, on both I do not have EPG configured (I don't see an option to disable epg, is there an?). Still on 4th with 3.9.7 it is also fev seconds, with 4k and 3.9.9 it does take a lot of time for arround 340 entries in m3u list.
Also while this update in progress is, if i go to early to TV Menu (once it is there) everything stops responding, or if i was inside TV already and come back after screensaver kicks in, and click one channel to play it will also freeze (top left corner shows update of channels/epg in progress, but then also that don't respod, no matther how time I wait.

So is there anything else to do/try? Do you need more debug log from me, and do you have any recommendation to try?

I don't see MrMC listed in Apple TV Settings under Apps Settings (have there TV (from atv+), Music, iTunes-Movies and TV-Channel, Computer, Netflix).
