Resolution and frame rate change with android P

So, big update for the shield today.

It seems that with some files I have MrMC is now not changing resolution and framerate the way it was previously.

This is a DVD rip, returned to original framerate, encoded to h264. It's Star Trek DS9, so, most of it is 23.976fps, other parts are 29.97fps.

MrMC used to output 720p59 but now it outputs 1080p29. I'd much prefer 720p59. 1) I'd rather my tv upscale 2) 23.976 and 29.97 video will look fine when output at 59fps.

P.S. I have other Star Trek DVD rips that are untouched mpeg2. MrMC still deinterlaces and outputs 720p59 as it should for those.

Interesting. I too have ds9 x264 dvd mkv files. I’ll check it out tomorrow when I get some time and see what it does.
Any other issues with android 9? So far so good on this end,

No other problems that I've seen. I had one glitch starting an HDR show but several other switches of colorspace have worked just fine.

Probably that 1080p29 was added in the latest update, and MrMC gives priority to lower framerate.
It will probably requires a "Give priority to resolution" kind of setting to solve...

I was thinking the same thing. Thanks!

P.S. I fixed my typo. Meant to say 23.976 and 29.97 in my OP.

Just came across this, would also love a priority to resolution option.
