Estuary will probably never happen, too many changes between MrMC and kodi v17

I think I read there was a 16 backport of estuary somewhere, though

That could be an option if users insist on it after we release new skin

Re: Future Skin Support
I'm just throwing this out here... not sure if it would even be possible since this skin is being designed for Krypton +.

Of course this is a request for if/when the skin's development is complete.

Re: Future Skin Support
Titan 'seemed' a great skin for creating a home page with an icon wall of favourites, making it easy to launch anything from the front screen. I installed regular Kodi on a FireTV to try it out. I got it all setup and configured BUT it is so unstable and eventually results in a Kodi that crashes on launch that I have pretty much abandoned the idea. Kodi's instability is my main reason I used Plex and then switched to MrMC. I'm unclear if it was the skin or just Kodi's usual instabilities?

Oh please no... I've been looking forward to this for so long.amet wrote:Estuary will probably never happen, too many changes between MrMC and kodi v17
I've been using Kodi pretty much daily for years (not kidding) and moved to MrMc when it got released on tvOS but I'm really (really really) sick on the old and ugly (in my opinion at least) Confluence theme. The other themes shipped with MrMc are not satisfying for me either. I've been craving for a simple, modern theme like Estuary for a very long time, please don't let me down ! Please.

Hmm, I too was looking forward to Estuary as I thought it would have been in the v3 release. Hope there is something just as slick in its place.
Also, what do you mean by too many changes? I initially purchased MrMC because I couldn't run Kodi on my AppleTV. I was hoping that for the most part that the MrMC codebase would be in alignment with Kodi so it would benefit from the user development in the main community. Is this not the strategy? If not, how does MrMC plan to keep itself updated and relevant?
