Fix unclear translations in the Swedish version?

Post by cotignac »

I have some opinions about some translations that I think is wrong and some that are missing in the Swedish version.

Is there some way that I can change that myself?

I have now got access to the Swedish translation.

Am I supposed to translate everything - even the items that hasn't got any English text?

well, if there is no English text there is nothing to translate... :)

use English as base language to translate missing strings to Swedish

I'll give you an example.

The text to the left for item #36293 is "Set the color to be used for the subtitle background." and "Description of setting with label #745 "Background Color"".

The English text to the right says "Empty" and the same for the Swedish text.

Shall I translate this text to Swedish or not?

I have another question.

Is it possible to download and verify the my translations before I confirm that I'm ready and have finished my work?

not sure if this link will work, but try it https://lokalise.co/project/41730241597 ... ang_id=754

below what it looks like:
Screenshot 2019-09-12 09.28.43.png
you look at english on the left and fill in the Swedish translation on the right ... eg "and enter this code -> " is "Empty" meaning that there is no translation.

the purple button on top left is activity, that should show you what changes you made, I can see you made a lot of changes... thanks for that!

yes, "Set the color to be used for the subtitle background" is the default english string, that should get translated.
