Shield TV color levels problem

Post by cosmoxl » 31 Oct 2017, 14:33

Seems that Nvidia have changed something so that now AMC surface doesn't output the proper levels using the YUV 444 8bit color space I usually use. Whites are being clipped. The ATV4 is still good with AVFoundation. I can always switch to AMC (non surface) and adjust contrast to get the whites unclipped. But, I shouldn't have to. :)

Anybody else seeing this?

Nvidia seems to have borked a few things with their v6 release

NVIDIA constantly screws up their color levels, and it's generally a pain for me to care anymore so I just stopped using the Shield for now.

Are you two confirming what I'm seeing or are you just agreeing that it's possible? I ask because so far I see nothing reported by other users on reddit or geforce forums.
