we are still waiting for 3.2 to get beta reviewed. A version bump always triggers a beta review.

Dropping a little info.

I use Handbrake to encode all of my stuff and I have both an Apple TV 4th Gen and a Apple TV 4K. I've been a x264 person but I am now making the change to H265. One observation is that the Apple TV 4th Gen has ever so slight issues with the H265 content. Occasional frame rate dips and/or out of sync issues. In nearly all cases the video will recover and get back on track. The Apple TV 4K has zero issues with H265.

To the best of my ability I haven't found any setting/adjustment that can correct this, so I am assuming it simply comes down to a processor issue (A8 vs A10X). NOTE: I'm on tvOS 11.2 and MrMC 3.3.

This all said, I'll be upgrading my 4th Gen to a 4K model.

Check the video acceleration settings. v3.3.0 will vector hevc/hdr to avfoundation codec but it should be only vectoring 4K content. Talking HEVC Main 10, not normal HEVC content.

I was trying different settings with the video acceleration but nothing seemed to fix it.

These are normal H265 (HEVC), not 10-bit (Main 10).

Too big to put on Pastebin so here is the MrMC Log file and the Media Info for the test file (but I have this issue with pretty much any H265 on the 4th Gen; this is just a simple example).

I added in the log from the Apple TV 4K for good measure.

Signed up for the testflight.

Let me know what settings you would like me to adjust for testing.
