Washed out Colors

Post by solamnic » 15 Mar 2018, 22:41

Hello just got my apple tv :) and MrMC is the reason i bought one (wanted a great player with kodi :) )...

The problem is that i am having washed out colors in playback (LG OLED B7)

Tried regular 1080p movie
settings are those
Video -> Playback -> Adjust display refresh rate = Always
Video -> Acceleration -> Allow hardware acceleration - VideoToolbox = Checked
Video -> Acceleration -> - Use VideoToolBox for 4K HEVC HDR content = Unchecked
Video -> Acceleration -> Allow hardware acceleration - AVFoundation = Checked

The weird thing is that movie is washed out but when i pause the small preview window displays proper colors (while movie is washed out)...

Tried full range - limited range but nothing changed..
Any ideas ;;;
thank you

Turn on Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate. It should fix it. It'll also give you a better picture, not just in MrMC but also almost every other app like Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime.

A debuglog should help track it down.
