make sure avfoundation codec is enable and disable hevc/hdr under videotoolbox

make sure adjust display switch is enabled

settings -> video

you might need expert mode enabled.

@davilla:

Did you try this ?

https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18602

Using this tool you can mux MT2S with DV into a single stream MP4 container with DV metadata.

Tool is here:

https://github.com/DolbyLaboratories/dlb_mp4base

“The Dolby MP4 streaming muxer (dlb_mp4base) is a software implementation of a muxer of fragmented or unfragmented ISO base media file format (mp4). It supports muxing of Dolby Digital (AC-3), Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3), and Dolby AC-4 audio formats as well as Dolby Vision.”

On LG TVs this does the trick. So... on ATV with MrMC as well ?

Interesting....

So with the Dolby tool you can:

- Convert a UHD DV "backup" to a single stream DV profile 5 MP4

and with x265 you could do the same, but perhaps adding the original Atmos/DTS:X track into a MKV again ? I don't know though if the latest x265 encoder has been merged into mencoder or ffmpeg (yet ?). Though maybe mkvmerge can do the trick as well.

I didn't try it yet, but are you sure MrMC can play the resulting file ? Is there any limitation for the container/file format ?
