Fantastic app, thank you so much for developing it for the ATV4.
Although I have all the meta data services on (I checked they are all enabled) I don't have any meta data showing for the TV shows, Movies etc. Is there something I should be doing or checking to get the metadata fetching?
SMB shares to NAS work, IP address valid etc. No issues with anything else.
thanks very much.

2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back

Re: Metadata Fetching
When you add the directory (SMB share, in my case) you have to tell MrMC that the directory contains TV Shows, or Movies (or the other content types). One directory can only contain one type of content, I believe.
I enabled it on a directory (with lots of sub-dirs, each containing a different TV series) and it found the content and is showing the art for the various shows, etc.

Make sure your video files are named correctly. Here is info on naming TV Shows and you can also find info for movies there as well:.

Re: Metadata Fetching
All good for me now. Nominating the folder type when creating the SMB share populated the metadata (immediately started downloading). Thanks for the assistance and advice

How did you choose the type of data, I really can't do it;/

Re: Metadata Fetching
On the next screen after you've selected your source folder, you choose what type of video the source is and where to get the metadata from. Click the little up and down arrows to browse through the options and choose what applies to what's in your folder.

Re: Metadata Fetching
Hello,
I also have problems creating a library and fetching metadata.
I go to "Videos" --> "Files" --> "Files" --> "Add videos..." --> "Browse" --> "UPnP devices" --> my synology server is correctly displayed, I choose --> "my video folder" --> "ok" --> "ok"
"My video folder" is correctly added, but I don't see any other window that lets me tell what kind of files I have in this directory and create the library.
If I choose "update library" on the left menu it displays very quickly a progression window that quits, but I still don't have a library.
Do I have to configure something elsewhere ?
Thanks.

Re: Metadata Fetching
I've tried jabohn's post also and gotten the same results, no meta data other than the posters. And from trying his instructions now I have several redundant file shares showing (2)(3), etc, and I can't figure out how to delete the duplicate shares.dobunzli wrote:Hello,
