Subtitles in 4K not movable

Post by patoune » 14 Jul 2018, 09:00

If the positioning of the subtitles (external srt) works very well in HD format, it does not work in 4K where they cannot be mounted (not visible with a 2.35 screen for example). The problem is the same with Kodi.

What is the solution?

If they are embedded subs, they cannot be moved.

Debuglog would help to understand the issue.

The hd, 4k, 2:35 mix I don't quite get

I have a projection screen in 2.35 format.
With a movie in HD (1080p) and with the "Calibration" configuration in MrMC, the subtitles are in the picture . If I play a 4K movie the subtitles stay down despite the "Calibration" setting which has no effect on the position.

Tested with Kodi it works in 1080p and 4k...
