My favorite skin on kodi/spmc (best) was box as it was the closest to my beloved boxee and looked and acted the closest after tweaks.
Is there a way I can install that skin on to mrmc? So I can complete the move over?

nope, you cannot install any addons. all addons need to be installed and whitelisted by us, including skins.
