4.0.0.1 server, iOS , tvOS and OSX... all good
Had you restarted your Emby Server when you disabled external access ?

Tested the previous solution in Emby link provided in previous post, for the Emby Apple TV app to see if that works with MrMC.

iOS:
No manual and pin-request sign-in MrMC.
In Emby iOS app it all works by manual sign-in. Even Safari web browser access from iPad to my local server in safari tot IP:8096 works with manual sign-in.

tvOS:
Only pin request sign-in works.
In Emby tvOS app it all works by manual sign-in.

Seems like MrMC doesn't like Emby WINDOWS server or the other way around :o

Question about the API call in MrMC to Emby Server.

Got a reply from Luke (Emby Dev) describing current problems and his comment to that:
Only thing i can think of based on that is that they are calling one of the api methods to get system info, and they are assuming the WanAddress value will actually have a value, as opposed to handling it being null.

look for 3.8 tvOS testflight to test it, it should be in the next version

Thanks :-)

Was it the API call just like Luke described, causing the issue ?

MrMC connection issues are only present when Remote Access is disabled in Emby Server (from 4.0.x upwards).
