Manual Emby Login with https

Post by RalphK »

I have successfully logged into my Emby server via https. I used the manual method. And I believe that I logged in successfully because on the Emby setup screen, I now see the option to “logout”.

However, when I return to the home screen, there is no media available. I stopped and restarted MrMC but the issue persists.

I have probably missed a step but I cannot figure out what to do next. I am using MrMC on an iPhone 8 with IOS 12.1.

Emby’s own IOS client is working fine on the same phone, so it does not seem to be a connectivity issue.

Thanks for your help,
Ralph

Did you select Emby server?

What skin are you using?

In MrMC, I have manually signed into my Emby server, on the screen
/Settings/Services/Emby Client

Other than that, I am not sure where to "select Emby server."
What have I missed?

I am using the default skin, named Opacity.

Thanks for your help,
Ralph

In opacity, bottom left button has a list of servers... pick it in there

It’s not you, it’s a bug in 3.7.0 unfortunately... it has been corrected in 3.7.1

Where is this button? I am also logged in remotely via my phone but cannot see any button but a back arrow.
I am in Settings / Services / Emby client.
Like for Ralph K, I use opacity and the screen reports sign-out as option but no movies are showing at all when I go back to the initial screen, which shows "Media sources" and "Quit".
I installed MrMC on a Samsung Android phone.

Only MrMC showing in the list. Selected, makes no difference.

that means that your Emby has not logged in properly or it has not found any library sections. debuglog might have some answers
