Can't install MrMC on Shield

For the past week I cannot get MrMC to install on my shield. It does not show up on search and when I check the Google Play Store its listed as not compatible. The same with the lite version showing up as incompatible.

Looks like the play store might get confused about major device updates (like going from Marshmallow to Nougat).
Try disconnecting/reconnecting the shield to your google account

Okay I removed and re-added my google play account, but it is still showing incompatible. I did have it installed previously, but got some error about unable to download obb so I removed and when I went to re-install I couldnt anymore.

You're on latest Shield firmware, right?
Is it 2015, 2015 pro or 2017 model?

It is the 2017 shield and yeah latest firmware available 6.3. Its odd because I did have it installed on the device before, but for some reason now I cannot get it to install since it is showing that its not compatible.

Just did a factory reset on my shield not just for this issue, but a few other odd things and still listed as not compatible.

Now resolved. Locked the bootloader and now I can install MrMC on my Shield. So very weird.

I'm seeing this problem as well.
My shield is not "compatible", and relocking my bootloader is absolutely not an option. Any other solution?
