So it seems Koying have brought quite some light to this project
Users are asking me to support MrMc and while it seems possible there's one blocking point to provide full support.
The hammer Zebra Anyway to have support for the source allow_sharing flag to allow access to sources files from web server ?
And it seems JSON is still at v16 level.
If you have no plan to follow Kodi and / or v17. Anyway to have https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/8871 merged ?
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again
Any mention of illegal streaming sites, addons or any pirated material will not be tolerated. This is not democracy and any offenders will be banned and posts deleted immediately without warning.
Other than that, we hope you enjoy MrMC so far and we welcome any input and feedback you might have.

Re: Yatse support
I don't see why not, our main concern is leaking user/pass credentials so we have blocked access to those from the outside world.
We should be a mix of v16/v17, v17 for database and json should have followed that. We can check and resolve. The eventual plan is to get to v17 for most of core with the exception for player/renderer as v16 for those is much, much better/stable than v17.

Re: Yatse support
I know what you did and some discussions we had
Here the hammer is already here, just needs to become a little sharper.
For JSON how do you handle it's versioning then?
Completely separated from Kodi with unique versions?
Follow Kodi versioning but may not include everything?
No versioning followed and should be based on MrMc versions?
The PR I linked does not seems to be in your codebase and it's for personal use :p Without that tv shows are really slow to sync as large db require enormous amount of calls.

Re: Yatse support
That PR/commit was from "jenkins4kodi merged commit 20fbd5c into xbmc:master on Jan 16, 2016", must have missed it in backporting.
We have been rather slack regarding some versioning But we can straighten all that out.
I'll checkout that PR and see if it comes in clean and does not dive into a rabbit hole. Then it will be in next testflight.

Re: Yatse support
Ok so I'll stick to MrMc version for now then to detect was is supported or not
Except from my wife resisting with her iPhone no iOS here :p I'll probably try to compile from github.
Any SVG icon that I'm allowed to use in Yatse as MrMc logo? (Preferably square / round)

Re: Yatse support
Yep but svg would be better if you have it as I apply user's choice color as overlay and don't need the black background.
This allows easier handling for users to have quick distinction about what device and how they are connected.
If not available I'll just remove the color from the launcher icon.
