MVC support in ATV4/5

Post by ElBalsero »

Hi guys,

I was wondering if somehow the new versions of TVOS or the new hardware of the ATV5 have made in any way technically possible a future support of MVC decoding to be able to watch Blu-Ray 3D ISO´s in 3D.

I take also the opportunity to thank you for all your effort and work on this amazing MrMC product that makes my life a little bit better :-)

While there is some 3D support in MrMC, MVC requires access to that is not provided by iOS/tvOS APIs.

Wow! That was a quick reply :-)
Thanks a lot for the answer Davilla. I was guessing so, but wanted to be sure.

I'm also very sorry to hear that. That missing MVC support is now the only reason why I can't get rid my Raspberry Pi (LibreELEC / Kodi) next to my Apple TV 4K.
