Roku Version

At one point in the past, the XBMC/Kodi team wrote that there would never be a Roku Version because the development environment at the time was not very feature rich.

Several years have passed and now Roku has some pretty impressive apps in its library.

Would there now be a reconsideration of this? At least for this derivative work?

Roku Apps are programmed using their custom programming language. They are more like TVML apps in tvOS. There is no way to create a native App such as MrMC. Native means a binary app. MrMC is a binary app using c/c++/gles with about 25 support libs.

Thanks. I thought that the xfinity streaming app (now in beta) on Roku or Google Play TV or the DIAL-based YouTube and NetFlix had to have something more to work that something proprietary.
