I'm familiar with MrMC on my apple tv 4. Any HEVC file I've thrown at it stutters. The CPU just can't handle it.
I assume that MrMC on the fire tv (4k version) will playback HEVC very well. Can anybody comment on this?

720p HEVC files are fine, above that, the atv4 runs out of ponies.

firetv can do hw decode of HVEC.
