Hi,
I have an issue with light effects on FireTV 2 or Kindle Fire HD 8. On both systems I only get the rgb values for the first frame. After that I just get minimal changes in transmitted color values so the initial color never changes until the movie ends. Testing the same content on Kodi Windows with the same boblightd setup I get a working ambilight.
Any suggestions?

mediacodec(surface), mediacodec(non-surface) or software decode ?

Hi,
ok, that was the right question. After switching from Media Codec (Surface) to Media Codec without surface the lights startet changing as expected.
