Just a quick tip I've noticed.
I am using the older AppleTV 4 version (not 4k). I was getting a lot of choppy playback / buffering. The issue appears to be the hardware acceleration. To fix,
In Settings -> Videos -> Acceleration -> Tick 'Use VideoToolBox for 4k HEVC HDR Content'
I believe that makes AVFoundation the default for files other than 4k stuff and resolves this issue,
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
