DOLBY ATMOS in IOS 12

That other user was me. Atmos doesn't work in anything but iTunes so far.

I have one movie with DD+, ATMOS track, that triggers ATMOS on my setup with the Plex App.

I am suspicious whether they will actually release an API:



on the other hand, they said clearly “apps” at WWDC, not iTunes

Is there anyone in this thread who has successfully got atmos out of the atv4k to the AV Receiver so that the AV Receiver showed its getting an atmos audio stream?

An if yes with which app/content?

Blade Runner 2049 works with Atmos to my receiver from iTunes. None of the other movies I've tried have Atmos.

Ah, so only supported in iTunes or maybe Netflix

The Vudu app is doing Atmos. I just played Black Panther and got HDR10+Atmos.

Nope, MrMC has been working great so far. There's some audio issues with other apps but not MrMC. I do want to say that I wouldn't recommend loading the developer beta since bugs that might pop up won't get worked out for a few months (like there's been a few audio issues I've had so far, not with MrMC but it's highly likely there might be issues as they work on Atmos) and there's really no benefit to it since there's very sparse movies with support so far.
