I did. I needed a UHD bluray player anyway, so I bought the Oppo UDP-203 which has an HDMI input just for streaming devices and can do the HDR>SDR conversion on that input.
I really don't understand apple taking away such a great feature. Maybe they were "encouraged" to remove that by the industry wanting to sell UHD stuff.
