Yes, 3.5 has fixes for HDR material.

Make sure you're using AVFoundation as decoder for HDR material.

The ui is still all greyish if I turn on HDR 4k, and also the video playback video setting are using defaults.

Video -> Playback -> Adjust display refresh rate = Always
Video -> Acceleration -> Allow hardware acceleration - VideoToolbox = Checked
Video -> Acceleration -> - Use VideoToolBox for 4K HEVC HDR content = Unchecked
Video -> Acceleration -> Allow hardware acceleration - AVFoundation = Checked

Otherwise, debuglog and we need to see a screenshot to see what you are talking about.

Nope its still the same even with these settings.

Here is when Signal is in 4k SDR 60hz

Pictures don't really show how much it is but there is alot of difference, I have to take the HDR signal and cut the birghtness to 38% for desent black but then also other stuff looks bad.

Note this also is when playing the same "non" black or grayblack is present. So you don't get the deep black color.

Netflix is the same ( i.e. Black is fine in both modes and other apps so its mrmc in both Modes of AppleTV.

I don't think the shade of the GUI is the important thing here. I thought you were talking about how video playback looks.
