stuck in Settings area

Post by zoom67 » 29 Nov 2017, 01:49

My MrMC has somehow become stuff in the Settings/Media sources area. I can "left" on Settings and I get "Load profile", "System Info" and "File manager". If I select Media sources, it shows me my sources. That's it. I can't get out of this. I've restarted my Apple TV 4k. I've even unplugged it and plugged it back in. It always starts in this area. I don't know how this happened, but I can't get out. Well, if I hit "Menu" I leave the app entirely.

What is going on?

I've seen this every now and then. The 'solution' was to power cycle the hdtv :) strange but it worked for me. I suspect something strange regarding cec.

Interesting, but that didn't work for me. Is there no way to quit an Apple app like you can on Fire TV (Android)?? I can't believe that cycling the power didn't put the app back into initial state.

I suppose I could delete the app (which apparently deletes all of its data, too) and re-add the sources and re-scan everything... *sigh*
