So, it seems recent versions of Kodi do not support audio passthrough on Live TV. I understand why, as there are a few channels in my area that just do not work well with passthrough. No idea what those channels are doing, but it is what it is.
So, with Kodi on my HTPC, I can have everything be passthrough, except for Live TV. I'm hoping a similar option can be implemented in MrMC for my FireTV boxes. However, I do suggest making it optional (unlike in Kodi) as there are some people who are quite upset that they can no longer do passthrough on Live TV.
