Let me email them. From what I see in the logs, it appears consistent with what I am observing. The script works with "C" (which leads to deleting existing existing cache and then replace it), but it does not work with "c" (just caching so far uncached items). I may be reading the logs wrong though. Let me send the logs to you. Thanks for your help!

Amet, any chance you can help run the script as below for trouble-shooting:

./texturecache.py @logfile=tc1.log C movies "burbs"
./texturecache.py @logfile=tc2.log nc movies "burbs"

Moving the conversation back from Kodi to forums.

We can indeed narrow down the issue and it appears related to ATV running out of space. I have a few questions that may help to resolve this.

* I realized that MrMC has a feature called "regenerate thumbails". Does this feature basically does the same as texturecache? I.e., purge all thumbs and then caches all. I used it, but it has no status bar, so unclear whether anything is happening or whether it finished.

* There is a feature "download actor thumbnails". Would required storage size be less if I deselect it before running texturecache?

* I remember there is a way in Kodi to reduce resolution of caches images (through advancedsettings). Would this help and is this also feasible in MrMC?

* MrMC also has a feature called "clean thumbnails". Does this delete the thumbs folder?

* What artwork does MrMC actually use? I am currently running the full monty with texturecache, but many such as clearart may not even be used. Does MrMC use anything else beyond poster and fanart? Banner?

2nd and 3rd have been answered in separate discussion (thanks!). Any thoughts on the other questions?

Regenerate will remove the thumbs folder, clean should check against texture database and delete what’s not in it.

We use whatever the skins use, I think blackglassnova uses the full monty... if you are only using opacity you can get away with thumbs and posters
