Wow. I always appreciate when people explain the science behind things to me.

I love it too, that's why I got the education I got.

That said, I can distinguish the difference between low bit rate and high bit rate audio. Many people can't.

I am bothered by sync errors where my wife doesn't even notice them.

Scientists love to put things in boxes and quantify them so that they feel safe and happy knowing just what's in the box. But, real life isn't always so easy to define.

Well, I've made my request. I don't appreciate being told what I can and can't perceive and I don't understand why time is spent debating that point. Do you really think I'd come here requesting the change withing being frustrated already with the option given me?

I'd rather just get a yes or no answer and be done with it, as I feel like the time you've put into this project is far more than the price paid by customers. Yes, I'm totally fair to you and I respect your time and don't expect you to be at my beck and call. However, it occurs to me that the time you've spent debating me, looking up stuff on the web, could have been spent coding the change. :)
Chill, we can make the change, I'm just tossing out the physics of why less than 25ms will not matter. You might be perceiving a difference, psychoacoustics can yield funny effect. I for one did learn something in searching the web, there is a difference human sensitivity to audio being ahead or behind video. Sort of makes me wonder why humans can tolerate more late audio than early audio.

I'm also a Physicist so I know that nothing is 100 percent (fits in a box), There's always some amount of 'flex' :)

I think you're thinking about it all wrong. As the article you linked to implies, zero tolerance is an achievable goal. If it weren't why would they say so? Just because there are only 24fps in a video doesn't mean the audio can't be adjusted so that for a particular frame of video the audio is perfectly on.

I get all the physics, that's part of my education. When I can I'll recalibrate my sound system just to rule out any problems there.
