Speak up now, the tentative plan is to submit for release on Monday.
my only question is regarding blu-ray folder rips. MrMC will play index.bdmv or movieobject.bdmv but doesn't use VTB. Is there some other reason why VTB isn't used for those files even though the video is compatible?
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back

CreateVTSession - failed with status = (-5)
fmpeg[16E2C7000]: [h264] Ignoring NAL type 9 in extradata
FactoryCodec - Video: ff-h264 - Opened
Humm, maybe vtb should ignore those too ?
input seems to be Captain.America.Civil.War.2016.1080p.BluRay.AVC.DTS-HD.MA.7.1-FGT%2f/BDMV/PLAYLIST/00800.mpl
can we get a 100-200 MB sample of that ?

mpl is a playlist file. that calls up the associated m2ts files, which are the actual video.davilla wrote:CreateVTSession - failed with status = (-5)

so, no, I can't get you a sample of that.
what I can do is remux to a plain m2ts file and make sure that works.

that is the hope. what we're trying to work out is making sure videotoolbox runs for all the files it should work with. when it does run it's very efficient. files that stutter with ff-h264 play smoothly with videotoolbox enabled.

Haven't had an issue in the hour or so I've been using it tonight.

logs from playback of individual m2ts files in the bluray folder stream folder.
no need for me to remux, I can test them directly.
I will upload one of the smaller ones, which are all playing with ff-h264, to you as I did before.

I'm not sure if this is an issue, but it seems that no matter where in MrMC I am when I exit the app, when I come back to the app I'm at Settings. I'd prefer to come in at movies, tv, or ideally where I left. Using the PMS as source.

Re: tvOS testing 2.8.0 (161117.331)
I see that too. I think it's because it hasn't pulled the media from PMS yet so it doesn't see anything as existing, so it's always at Settings because that's all that exists. I don't think automatically switching from Settings to something else would be a good idea though, mostly because people might already be moving from Settings to whatever so then they'd have to go back and just get frustrated.
