No idea, we have not removed anyone from TF, but so far only 4 people tested.

I think I'll remove anyone that didn't bother to test 2.8.0, if they wish to test in future we can be found on [email protected]

I always try to download and test a beta even if just a minute or so. I don't even know what VTB is but I'd test it if someone pointed me to one.

Vtb is hardware acceleration for h264, much higher bitrates can be played now

@davilla will correct me if some other codecs can be played besides h264 :))

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=948&start=20

it was mentioned in the above thread but not explicitly stated in this testflight testing thread that there's now an option to turn on videotoolbox hardware acceleration. It is very nice.

I watched an episode of something with VTB turned on and didn't have any issues. Now I'm swamped at work, but I'll get back at it tomorrow.

All is good with 2.8.0 testflight now ? Speak up now, the tentative plan is to submit for release on Monday.

best I can tell all good. VTB provides an excellent picture with smoother framerate than ff, in my opinion.

my only question is regarding blu-ray folder rips. MrMC will play index.bdmv or movieobject.bdmv but doesn't use VTB. Is there some other reason why VTB isn't used for those files even though the video is compatible?
