new test version is being prep'ed.

short list:
- fixed, backdround audio on droid.
- fixed, h264/interlace detection for MediaCodec.
- fixed, plex client. double start when transcoding.
- fixed, vc1 playback on some flavors.
- fixed, dvd playback with previews before main menu.

EDIT: update should be live.

also fixed is the hd-dvd test files playback (vc-1 with EAC3). :)

Working well for me too. Not sure on the quality of the deinterlacing though, need to do a proper comparison V SPMC

Unfortunately after a bit of testing deinterlacing of HD content is a bit messy - software blend chokes, and both bobs have 'bouncy reds' - something SPMC and kodi also have when doing software decode.

@davilla - Any chance of forcing 1080i h.264 to mediacodec (not surface though) - this works really well with SPMC

agree with the deinterlacing weakness. I've brought it up before regarding the apple tv but there wasn't much, if anything, they could do.

Possible but not for the initial v3.x release. Have to draw the line somewhere.

I've gotten several crashes of MrMC as it's starting up. The shield gives me the choice to start again or send feedback. MrMC's old nor current log contain the crash. To get you logs I'm guessing I'd need to use ADB?
