Re: MKV VC-1 dropped frames

Bought 2 Shield TVs to replace my Fire TVs before Christmas 2017 and they've been great.

No problems with VC-1 content anymore.

Cheers,

Well that explains it :)

Does the Shield TV support it?

Re: MKV VC-1 dropped frames

I wanted to follow up on this. Just set down to watch Wonder Woman (2009 cartoon) with my family, and it's un-watchable. It's also VC-1. Video is terribly jerky, and audio is out of sync. Eventually (5 min. or so?) audio drops out altogether. It's too small of a sample set to extrapolate to all VC-1...

Re: Capture Fire TV home button

That's disappointing.

When the video games do it, it's annoying.

If you did it, it would be glorious.

...until you got kicked out of the app store, that is.

Re: Capture Fire TV home button

So according to this: https://developer.amazon.com/public/solutions/devices/fire-tv/docs/amazon-fire-tv-remote-input Return the user to the Home screen. This is a system event and cannot be intercepted. ...but clearly some app developers can override it. I think they may be watching the system conso...

Capture Fire TV home button

Can you capture the Fire TV home button and take us to the MrMC home screen instead? I can't tell you how many times I press the "home" button when I intend to press play/pause and it takes me completely out of MrMC back to the Fire TV home screen. Curses are thrown at the TV. Some video games do th...

Re: MKV VC-1 dropped frames

Just wanted to follow up and see if you were able to determine anything from marsdust's debug log. I don't have a lot of VC-1 content, but Star Wars: Clone Wars TV series is jerky enough to not be watchable. Almost everything else works fine. I can drop off episodes on a USB stick if that would help...

Default to DTS/Dolby core if MA or True HD are not supported

Can we default to the core DTS track or Dolby 5.1 track if DTS-MA and Dolby True HD are not checked in audio settings? I ripped a bunch of things with DTS-MA tracks for future-proofing, but my receivers are old, don't support the HD Audio stuff, and use toslink. Every time I play something that has ...

Re: first gen fire tv & pass through

Good God, thank you for this. I've been tearing my hair out trying to fix this and couldn't figure out how. I have a problem replacing things that still work, and my Yamaha receiver only has toslink and coax, no HDMI. In Kodi, the only workaround is to set your speaker setup to 2.0 and tick "transco...
